The first delivery
Our first batch of fresh food has arrived from Kretschmann's farm. We received a bunch of spinach, a couple kinds of lettuces, some spring onions, pea shoots, some rhubarb, and assorted herbs. I decided to document to the best of my ability (re: constraints of time and inherent laziness) what we do with this stuff, so next year when we're sitting around in a pile of kale wondering what the hell to do with all of this kale, we can look back and see what the hell we did with it this time around. So, day one. I have this recipe involving browning some potatoes in olive oil, then adding some greens and some water, then laying some fish on top of all of that and letting it all cook for a bit. It comes together in under fifteen minutes. I got the recipe from the food network and in the original it calls for tilapia and escarole. We switched it up for sole, pea shoots and a handful of spinach. Results: Awesomeness.
